My need

I need funds to pay the required deposit so I can move to a safer apartment to help me with my health challenges.

Meeting this need will help me because I can be closer to family in case of an emergency and also to help me day to day. I will be less stressed out which will help my health. It would really mean a lot to be in a place that will help me improve my life and present condition.

My goal is get my health back under control so I can return to school. I would love to finish my classes in cosmotology and eventually become a licensed hair dresser. I am used to being independent and taking care of myself. But I need help right now and I am afraid of being so far away from my mom and family members. I appreciate any help you give me.

I really want the chance to rise above my present situation and with your help I can do it. I am grateful for a program like this that is helping so many people.

My situation

My current situation is I have health challenges and I have to climb too many flights of stairs which causes me to be in great pain constantly. I need to move closer to other family members who can help me and I need an apartment on a lower floor and with other things to help make things safer and easier for me.

Right now, my biggest challenge is falling behind in funds because I am sick a lot. I have no other way to come up with the money I need to move. I am not used to being this far behind so this is really hard for me.

Jeanette is without question one of the most compassionate people I know. She is so giving and she is very appreciative of every blessing that comes her way. I have known her for about 9 years. Jeanette worked as a volunteer for ABJ's Food Pantry, beginning in 2003 which is when I met her. At that time I worked with the company as the Director of Youth Services.

I think meeting this need is important because Jeanette has given so much to others. She is hard working and really deserves the chance to get back on her feet. She desperately needs to move closer to family who can provide for her as she has for so many others. This will move the recipient's life forward by allowing her to have access to her support system who can then assist her with daily tasks. This will help strengthen her physically, mentally, and emotionally. When her health improves she can then return to school which is one of her desires.
