Overview

My name is Susana, I was born and raised in Mexico but I have been living in the Bay for three years now with my two year old daughter and husband. I am a student at City College of San Francisco pursuing a Criminal Justice degree.

I am also learning coding because in 5 years I see myself working in cyber security. My goal is to be able to work with technology and justice at the same time since both are my passion, my second goal is to be able to show my daughter that even though is hard to obtain what we want to achieve, we can always do it with hard work.

I currently need $700 for tuition at a coding bootcamp called Hack Bright. I recently received a $1,000 scholarship with them, however the whole tuition is $3,000, and I need to raise soon as I have been recently accepted. I know if I can pull together your help and others', I can make it there!

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to attend Hack bright and I could be one step forward from achieving my dreams.

I have known Susana for the past year throughout the Mission Techies Program. Susana is an aspiring web developer who loves to teach coding skills to other youth. Susana has volunteered for the past two Mission Techie cohorts to come and teach HTML skills. Susana lives in the Mission district and I have been her Job Coach since December of last year. I have found her very honest, hard worker and above all loves technology. I see her one day in the tech industry, and I ask all you to help her out!
