My need
Hello my name is Buddy and currently I am on the career search for a welding job. I went to a few interviews and found out they are looking for someone who has their own Personal Protective Equipment.
I did a search online and in store searching, as well and I realized that I can only afford one thing at a time and about a month apart.
Right now, my biggest challenge is the fact that I am unemployed and have little or no income coming in. I have to prioitize over things that I want and need. Of course rent comes first and basic necessities for my children and unfortunately, at the bottom of my list is the things I need for future employment.
I need this help for the advancement of my family so I can have better things for my family.
I definitely know now that helping me with this need helps me to be more humble and appreciative of others in need. We can't always do it ourselves. Like the song says, we all need somebody to lean on. For me to have all of these items at once would mean more confidence on my upcoming welding interviews and a better chance at the job. I am really looking forward to starting my career path in the welding field and my heart and mind is set on this.
My situation
Meeting this need will help me achieve my future goal of starting my welding career because when I walk into the door of a welding company for an interview and they offer me the job, I don't want my lack of funds for necessary equipment preventing me from accepting the job.
I am not a freeloader and I know when I need help. I know when I can't do it myself. If I am able to receive these welding items, one of my main goals is to pay it forward. I will go back on the Benevolent site and help someone else out.
Each need is validated by a nonprofit that knows the person and can verify that the help is necessary. Funds flow from Benevolent to the nonprofit, which then gets them to the person in need and lets us know how it went.

I have known Buddy for two months since he has been in JARC's welding program. I think meeting this need is important because Buddy is very close to getting a welding job but needs this equipment for the job.
This will move Buddy's life forward by increasing his confidence in starting his career path in welding by feeling fully prepared. Buddy is a caring, energetic, leader in class. He's the kind of guy you want to teach because he is open minded and willing to learn.
