My need and situation
I am a 24-year-old IT professional. I'm currently pursuing my CompTIA A + certification at the Center for Changing Lives. The CompTIA A+ certification would allow me to move up in my career. Along with getting my certification, I am also volunteering at the Center for Changing Lives as an Instructor's Aide.
My goals are to find employment in my field. I also, want to pursue other certifications that will allow me to grow in the IT industry.
I need funds for public transportation in the City of Chicago. Having access to reliable transportation would allow me to get to and from my volunteer site as well as a part time job that I am pursuing until I receive my certification.
Meeting this need will help me because it would allow me to be a reliable volunteer to the students in class. And, it is valuable experience that I am gaining which I would be able to add to my resume.

I have been working with Irene for a little over a month. In that time she has shown tremendous commitment to her personal goals, as well as the Center for Changing Lives. Having IT Help Desk in class, she is a great asset to our class, and brings real life experience to the room. If Irene where to receive assistance with transportation, I know it would help relieve the stress she may feel at times to get her, and ensure she can remain a useful member of the class!
