Edward got a job! Jun 25, 2014
Chicago Lights wanted to share the good news that Edward has already found a job doing what he loves! He is working as a cook at an Italian restaurant near his daughter. He wanted to share a picture of him in his chef suit. Edward says he feels like his life is complete now and he just wants to thank all of those who made it possible to reunite him with his daughter.
Edward says THANK YOU!! Jun 3, 2014
"God Bless You! Thank you so much for helping me reunite with my daughter. I hope God blesses you in the same way you've been able to bless me. You are truly helping mend my broken heart." -Edward
My need and situation
I am a 50-year-old veteran currently homeless in Chicago. I've recently reconnected with my daughter and she has made arrangements for me to live with her and her family until I can get back on my feet.
My goals are to get a job, get my own apartment, and work on my relationship with my daughter.
I need a one-way Greyhound bus ticket so I can get home to my daughter.
Meeting this need will help me straighten my life out, and finally be able to support myself again. I really want to build and keep a positive relationship with my daughter, and this will be the first step in being reunited and becoming a family again.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Edward fund this need.

Edward has been a guest of the Elam Davies Social Service Center for several weeks and recently I have helped him seek out the medical care that he so desperately needed. I recently helped him reconnect with his daughter whom he hasn't seen in several years. He and his daughter have decided that the best course of action for him to become healthy and stable again is for him to come home to live with her so she can provide the family supports he so badly needs.
