Bernie from Nampa, ID

Living with MS & on my way out of homelessness. Help w/ utilities will get me housed!

A place of my own will give me inner peace and hope that I can live a normal life without the worry of where to sleep from day to day.

My need and situation

I am 37 years old and was diagnosed with MS 2 years ago. I have not been able to work due to muscle spasms and seizures. I have been living at the homeless shelter while I was waiting on SSDI to be approved.

My goals are to obtain housing to better my health and to find a job that will allow me to work from home with a computer.

I need help with getting my utilities turned on to be able to move into a place of my own.

Meeting this need will help me be self-sufficient. It will give me inner peace and hope that I can live a normal life without the worry of where to sleep from day to day.

Bernie has been utilizing our resource center computers while living at the homeless shelter. He has been looking to find services, filling out paperwork, and looking for what job options are available while awaiting approval for SSDI. He is ready to get his life in order and working hard planning ahead. He is determined and taking all the steps needed to be self sufficient. He is so close to getting into his own place and all he needs is security deposits to get his utilities turned on.
