Terry from Chicago, IL

After bed bugs, I need help replacing clothes & a bed on my part-time salary.

I need a bed & clothing to replace those destroyed so I can get a good night's sleep & be warm while turning my part-time work into full-time work.

My need and situation

I need bed, bedding, furniture, and clothing because a large majority of my belongings had to be destroyed.

Meeting this need will help me because if I could get some good rest at night it would make for better days at work.  We all know that a good rest is important in how your day will be!  To have some warm clothes (this is Chicago) is very important when your only means of transportation is public transportation.

My goal is to become full-time at my employer.  A good night's sleep and warm clothes and a comfortable living space make for a much more positive attitude.

I'm wearing a borrowed coat, I have only one warm sweater, and the rest of my warm belongings had to go to the trash because of a bedbug infestation.

My current situation is that I work part-time and I can not afford the items that will make life comfortable again.  The building provided me with a twin size bed to sleep on.  Let me tell you more about me.  I'm 6 foot 2 and I weigh 210lbs, with back problems, so can you imagine sleeping on a twin size bed?

I just wish that you all take a look at this request and please give if you can.  God bless you!

I'm from Chicago, born and raised.  I live in Chicago at Mercy Housing South Loop.    I have one daughter who is 20 years of age, and I am so proud of her choices which she has made to continue her education this spring and work part-time.  I'm happiest when I wake up in the morning and say hello to God! Something interesting about me is that at the age of 51, I can still do 50 pushups!  I live a clean life, I work hard, and I believe in, "the best policy is honesty".

I met Terry when he became my client a year ago.

I think meeting this need is important because Terry is a hard worker who deserves great things.  What happened to his furniture was not his fault and was out of his control.
