I am the Director of Social Services at Barrier-Free Living. My work involves supervising Behavioral Health Coordinators (BHC) who serve single individuals and families with a history of domestic violence and physical, sexual abuse, incarceration, substance use, homelessness, and developmental and emotional disabilities. The BHC utilize comprehensive clinical skills and theories to facilitate self-actualization. My goal is to supervise BHC as they assist the tenants with motivational interviewing techniques to restore their lives and bring healing.

What I like about my job is seeing the tenants restore their lives as they manage and cope with their disabilities after years of homelessness. The services and support from BFLA community enables them to achieve their endeavors.

I truly enjoy the work that I do and I feel honored to be part of their self-actualization.
