My job title is home visitor. I have been in this position since April 2010. My work involves working with families, supporting parents to educate their children by using the PAT curriculum. Parents are also provided with community resources. What I like about my job is impacting families and helping them to become self-reliant. Other positions I have held at my organization include recruiting. In the future, I would like to continue with schooling.
I have always been an advocate for the young children and I believe in justice. It is of importantance that immigrant families get connected to community resources and to get them empowered so they can have a sense of belonging.
