Presently at NSHSS, I hold the Position of Director of Supportive Services. In this position, I manage and run (with the assistance of my team of 10) a 72-bed Interim mens shelter, where they can live for up to 120-days. I am committed, devoted and passionate about assisting men, women and families in educational, economic and social positions within society.

Our Interim Housing program, located in the Uptown neighborhood in the basement of the People’s Church (Preston Bradley Center), is a 72-bed program that provides 24-hour access, 365 days per year. The program strives to meet clients’ immediate needs, and to help them find permanent housing within 120 days. In addition to food, shelter, showers, and a stable, safe place to stay, clients receive intensive case management from our two on-site case managers. Our guests (men over the age of 18) are given in-house services or referrals to housing assistance, employment services, medical services, a clothing closet (that is also open to the community), and other help that they need to move on with their lives and become stably housed.

What I love most about my job is that I am in a position to impact peoples lives in a positive way. I am in a position to empower, uplift and encourage those that feel weighted down. In addition, I am able to assist and advocate for men, women and families that are not aware of what's available to them.

I'm moving into my own apartment, but it's empty. Furniture will make it a home.

I can pay rent but can't afford furniture for my new apartment. When I'm housed again, I'll be able to focus on my music career. More
