Overview
My name is Yvette and I was homeless for three years before enrolling into PATH's Interim Housing Program. I have been living here since October 2014.
I have worked as a Caregiver for four years, and when I met my Employment Specialist at PATH this week, she connected me with a senior resident at one of PATH's permanent housing facilities. Just one day later, I got a call back, and now I start working on Monday!
I look forward to working with a woman who has also been through the same things that I have. We've both been homeless and we're both a part of the PATH family. It is such a blessing and I can't wait to start working as this woman's Caregiver.
My goal is to work hard and save up enough money to move out of PATH's Interim Housing Program. I'm working with my Case Manager to do just that.
I need $110 to purchase my Caregiver uniforms from Scrubs Etc. in Los Angeles. I will be getting a pair of pants for $70 and two pairs of shirts for $20 each, plus tax.
Meeting this need will help me because I will present myself as a professional Caregiver to my new employer. She deserves only the best.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Yvette fund this need.

I met with Yvette this week to work on her resume. She was extremely motivated to attend any and all recruitment events for the Caregiver field. During our meeting, I received a call from a senior resident living at one of PATH's permanent housing facilities. The resident expressed her need for an experienced Caregiver with a car-- Yvette was perfect for the job! Just one day later, and she is scheduled to begin on Monday. I am so thrilled! This is proof that PATH is a strong community in itself.
