Overview

I am an employee of StreetWise, a program that aims to assist individuals facing homelessness to learn about entrepreneurship through selling StreetWise publications. I have been working for this company for almost a year and love my job.

My goal is to earn enough money to find a stable, private, and permanent place to live. I am hoping that my StreetWise position will help me to achieve this goal.

I need a sturdy pair of winter boots, a winter coat, winter coveralls, and gloves as well as a hat.

Meeting this need will help me because my job requires me to sell magazines in all types of weather for hours at a time. This warm clothing will help me to make money even in the coldest of weather.

Charles is one of our newer guests. He is in the process of applying for our case management program. He is dedicated to his job as a StreetWise vendor and spends as much time as he can selling StreetWise magazines. He does suffer from arthritis in both legs, but he is still determined to do his job to the absolute best of his ability. These warm clothes will help him to stay safe and warm this winter as he works toward his goal of financial stability.
