I'm looking hard for full-time work. I need a laptop to search & send in applications

Constant access to a computer is critical to my ability to find a job. I'll be able to regularly search for jobs, send applications & email employers.

My need and situation

I am 57 years old. I went to school for criminal justice, but I've been homeless since 2011 and have been staying at friends' houses. I've been working part-time labor but am looking for a full-time job so I can house myself properly.

My goals are to get a computer to find a full-time job and ultimately start my own business. I'm interested in helping young people with legal situations as they arise in our society everyday.

I need a laptop computer to regularly search for work, send out applications, look up vital information, and send letters to employers. I hope to use a laptop as a platform to email leaders and press for social change.

Meeting this need will help me because I will able to regularly look for jobs as most job applications are online.

Validated by Cassandra from Chicago Lights: Elam Davies Social Service Center (What does this mean?)

I have been working with James at the Elam Davies Social Services Center to help him find stable housing. He currently is working, but does not have consistent income that allows him to move into his own apartment. A full time job would be really beneficial to help him find a permanent place to stay.
