Ntangu from San Diego, CA

I faced violence in my home country. I need help rebuilding my life and career.

I love working in healthcare. I need to renew my work permit and have my nursing degree evaluated to stay in the U.S. and in my dream profession!

Overview

I am a 27-year-old asylum-seeker from the Democratic Republic of Congo. I'm passionate about nursing and I love to work in the hospital.

My goals are to get my work permit renewed and have my nursing degree evaluated from the Board of Nursing in order to continue my nursing career here in the U.S.

I need to have my work permit renewed before May 2016 so that I can continue to live and work in the United States and to pay for my evaluation of my nursing degree from Brazil.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to continue providing for myself once I get my work permit renewed. Being able to stay in my new home in the United States will allow me to pursue my career as a nurse and get back doing what I love!

I have known Ntangu for the past 9 months working with her as her case manager. Ntangu is a very motivated and dedicated individual who works diligently to obtain her goals. She quickly obtained work upon receiving her work permit displaying her motivation. She is hoping to increase her self sufficiency and return to her passion of working as a nurse as she enjoys caring for others. Being able to renew her work permit would allow her to continue to support herself while evaluating her current nurse credentials will allow her to begin the process of returning to her true passion.
