Overview

I am a single mother of four. I have been unemployed since June 2015 and have been actively looking for a job. Due to a family crisis, I had to take time off and was laid off from my job. I am eager to start working again. I will be starting a vocational training program soon.

My goals are to become employed again and be self-sufficient like I was before my family crisis. I would also like to renew my Permanent Employee Registration Card for me to have a back up plan.

I need $45 to cover the fees of renewing my PERC card so I can look for security guard jobs.

Meeting this need will help me because I will have more employment options and not feel as limited. I have previous work experience as a TSA working out of O'Hare airport.

I started providing case management services to Sherrice a few weeks ago and I found out that the family has been couch surfing for the past year due to Mom being let go from her job. Sherrice had a family emergency and had to miss some days from work, and out of nowhere she found out that she was fired. Sherrice is very eager to start working full time again and provide a safe and permanent home for her and her children. Renewing her PERC card is the initial step for Sherrice to get back into the workforce and it would mean so much for this family.
