Roslyn from Eldoret, Kenya

Raising my daughter on my own. Starting my own business will help us move forward.

I'm determined to find the means to provide my daughter an education. I need to pay for my sewing machine, purchase more fabric and pay rent for a working space.

Overview

I am a 27-year-old single mother from Kenya. I am an obstetric fistula survivor. I have a 4-year-old daughter and we live in my family home. I have completed a 6-month vocational training program in tailoring and have started my own small business!

My goals are to expand my tailoring business. I currently work from my home.

I need to pay for my sewing machine, purchase more fabric and pay rent for a space from which to work and operate my business.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able assist my parents with their small farm and care for my child and pay her school fees.
