Kristina from Nampa, ID

My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. A bed will bring him the rest he needs.

I need help with getting a hospital bed for my dad because his medical insurance denied coverage for it. He is currently sleeping on the couch.

Overview

I am a single 41-year-old female. I am on disability and I recently moved to Nampa, ID, to take care my dad, who is terminally ill with cancer.

My goals are to save money while taking care of my dad to get into a place of my own.

I need help with getting a hospital bed for my dad because his medical insurance denied coverage for it. He is currently sleeping couch. Getting a bed would help him be more comfortable and make it easier for me to care for him.

Meeting this need will help me be able to make him as comfortable as possible and help with his chronic pain until he passes on.

Kristina has been working for our organization as a volunteer for community service hours she needed. After completing her hours she still continues to volunteer with us! During that time I have gotten to know Kristina and how important family is to her. We have had many conversations about her dad and how she could only volunteer for a few hours at a time so she was able to go check to make sure he was doing OK. I have also worked with Kristina to find support services and assistance that her and her dad may be eligible for. I have found Kristina to be a very kindhearted caring person that enjoys helping others and I think this would be a big help for her to be able to move forward and put the past behind her.
