On the path out of homelessness! Furniture & cookware will make my apartment a home.

I need basic essentials like kitchen items, bedding, towels, lighting, and rugs to help make my new apartment feel like home.

Overview

My name is Bri and I am 30 years old. I am currently homeless but am getting ready to move into an apartment at the end of August! I have a son who is a freshman in high school and look forward to having him visit me once I'm moved into my own place.

I plan to take geriatrics courses through a local college in the fall. I want to get a certificate and intern at Catholic Charities' adult care facility. My goal would be to work for their adult care program. I have been working with financial advisors and institutions that are helping me to repair and fix my credit and pay off debts and delinquent accounts that are holding me back from progressing and becoming financially independent again and I'm excited to get started. Thank you again. Everything looks and sounds great.

I need basic essentials like kitchen items, bedding, towels, lighting, and rugs to help make my new apartment feel like home. I also need funds for school items and transportation assistance to help me succeed in class.

Meeting this need will help me feel secure in my new apartment and give me the resources to do well in school, bringing a bit of normalcy and stability back into my life. I'm excited to go back to school and obtain this certificate. I have over 12 years of experience as a caregiver and this certificate will open up doors for internship and employment opportunities.

I have been working with Bri since last fall offering case management services through our PATH street outreach program. Bri now has a Section 8 voucher and is lined up to move into an apartment by the end of this month! I've known Bri to be a kind, patient, and aspiring individual and your support will help her maintain her housing and pursue career opportunities.
