Noel

Noel from Detroit, Mi

I'm a disabled mom in recovery. Car repairs will get my daughter to physical therapy.

Without car repairs, I'm unable to get my daughter to the physical therapy treatment she needs to maintain her health and stability.

Overview

I am a 52-year-old widow and mother. I became disabled ten years ago. When I was a passenger in a car that ran a red light, the car hit a pole and I was air lifted from Evergreen and Chicago. I had to undergo ten surgeries, as a result of the impact from the air bag I had a blood clot in my heart that had to be removed. I receive long term disability and live of a fixed income.

My plans consist of taking care of my mother who has dementia, helping my sister get better after a stroke, and trying to keep my family close after my daughter was raped. To make sure that my children and grandchildren are safe as can be.

I need help with car repairs. The man who raped my daughter will be released at the end of the year. My daughter has seizures, and is still in therapy. I have physical therapy. I would like to be able to pick my daughter up from school each day, I physically cannot.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to ensure my child is safe. I will also be able to help my mother and sister with medical appointments. No amount will go unappreciated as it will be life changing for my situation.

Noel is a client that has been working with my co-worker. After speaking with her one day and hearing her story, I thought of benevolent fund and the people they touch. It would be so great to show this widow, this mother, this women that has had some unfortunate circumstances that good people do still exist. Please help her.
