Overview

I am 57 years old and a former flight attendant. I've been trying to go back and get my Bachelor's in vocal communication and I came through Center for Changing Lives.

My goals are to find employment, preferably in customer service or education. I'm currently living in a shelter but would like to eventually move out, and I would like to also get permanent housing.

I need clothing to buy myself work attire in order to seek employment. I have been called for several interviews and feel that if i had the proper and presentable attire I would have a great chance of getting hired. I am also seeking help for obtaining bus passes to get to and from these interviews. These companies are calling me but there are times that I am unable to meet with them due to lack of resources.

Meeting this need will help me because getting the funds needed I will be able to attend my interviews in a professional and timely manner and if I have these available to me then the employer will see that I am the best candidate for them. Once employed, I will be able to save for an apartment and move onto finishing my Bachelor's degree and will be able to secure myself.
