Overview

I am a single mom supporting two kids and working part time as well. I just started the Surgical Tech program at Pima Community College in July and am holding a 96% in Anatomy and Physiology.

I am looking forward to supporting my children independently through my success in this program and subsequent hiring at a local hospital. I strive to be an asset to our community as a whole by passionately pursuing my chosen field.

Though I have had some financial aid I am lacking funds to continue in the program. My part time employment covers living expenses and the needs of my children, therefore I am unable to contribute additionally to these costs.

Meeting this need will help me to focus on the content and being a success. I want to be the type of Surgical Tech that I would want working on me.

I met Sue at Arizona @ Work Pima County while she was going through Pima Community College's HPOG HOPES program. She started her Surgical Tech program a couple of months ago and is extremely driven in succeeding and working in her career. She has the major bulk of her program covered through Arizona @ Work, HPOG and FASFA but still owes to the college. Obtaining any assistance through Benevolent will greatly help her in finishing paying her tuition. She is unable to put aside any additional funds right now and has utilized all loan resources as well so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
