With thanks May 29, 2019

Thank you for your donations to Beidin's need; she wanted to say this to all of her donors: "Thank you Beyond Fistula and Benevolent. Strangers I do not know. For giving to me and my children. I can buy fish and use new skills. God bless you so far away. Thank you."

My need and situation

I am a 20 year old mother of two and wife. I developed a fistula when my second child was born three months ago. I just got surgery and now my fistula is fixed and I am dry.

My goals are to start a fish farming business. I went through a business training program by an organization called Beyond Fistula where I learned how to run a small business to support myself and my children.

I need fish and tools to harvest the fish. I have skills in fish farming and now business, and once I have the capital to start my own small business there will be nothing standing in my way.

Meeting this need will help me because fish farming is a sustainable way to keep feeding my children as they grow and keep earning money for their school fees.

Beidin is a strong young woman. She has 2 children and was living with the shame and stigma of an obstetric fistula for quite a while before being repaired. She attended our business skills training and is motivated to start a fish farming business. Our team at Beyond Fistula will be supporting her and following up with her in her venture.
