Vilma Cruz Food Cart/Stall Sep 21, 2020
It was late 2019 when Vilma Cruz of Quirino province, Philippines was recommended for the Benevolent project. She is a widow with two growing children and her means of livelihood was a small food stall located inside a public school in her hometown. Her stall operates only from 6AM to around 1PM and she pays 100 pesos a day as rental. Before she applied for the Benevolent project she received a note from the school administration that rental will be increased to 200 pesos a day and she will be required to hire one assistant that she has to pay for. Vilma computed her expenses and she figured with the new rental increase she would only be left with less than 200 pesos clean profit assuming each day is a good day. But it's not plus she doesn't have earnings on weekends and during summer months when schools are closed.
She figured that if she could have a food stall in front of her house (her house is near the same school) she would be able to augment her income because her house has foot traffic, no rental and she could operate the whole day from 8AM to 6PM, Monday to Saturday all year round.
This is now the food stall that the Benevolent project helped Vilma with. She is more than grateful for the help.
Note: Few weeks before the Benevolent project was approved for her, she lost her oldest son to a vehicular accident.
Thank you for making this project possible.
Overview
I am Vilma from Quirino province, Philippines and I am a widow with two children who are still in school.
My goals are to be able to provide for my kids' basic needs and to be able to afford to continuously send them to school now that I am all alone in taking care of them since my husband died few years ago.
I need a food cart that could help me sell my food products in front of our house anytime of the day to augment the small income I get from selling snacks in a public school during morning time.
Meeting this need will help me because I would be able to sell more of my products and not just be limited to the time allowed for me to sell in the public school stall I am renting in the morning.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Vilma fund this need.

Vilma is an alumna of the Academy. She had been recently widowed and is now left to take care of her two young children. She is renting a small food stall in a public school paying 100 pesos for a 5 hour operation time in the morning. She would like to be able to sell more of her food snacks in front of her house where she doesn't need to pay for rent and she could sell for the whole day.
