Joyce from Eldoret, Kenya

With $200 I can expand my grocery business & support my kids' education.

I've overcome a health challenge and learned new business skills. With just $200 I can buy a shop space and inventory.

I am a 26 year old grocer, mother of two, and wife. When I gave birth I got an injury called obstetric fistula. It was painful and hard to deal with in my daily life, but now I'm healthy.

My goals are to expand my grocery business enough to support my children. I want to pay for their school fees, uniforms, and books so they can have good educations.

I need $200 to buy a small shop space to move my business into and to buy more inventory.

Meeting this need will help me because I did a business training with an organization called Beyond Fistula so I know how to run my shop and earn a good income. I only need the capital to get it off the ground, then I will be able to earn enough to feed my family and pay my children's school fees.

Joyce came through our business training after getting her fistula repaired. She is bright, driven, and committed to returning to her grocery business now that she is healthy. With our support moving forward, once Joyce gets her need met there will be nothing stopping her from providing for her family the way she wants to.
