I am a single 57 year old black man. I can't get around too well due to my surgeries. I need help to purchase a back brace, knee brace, and cane so that I can be able to move around. I also need funds for transportation so I can get around and try to find a job. My social security benefits are currently on hold and I am struggling financially , so I cannot afford to buy the things that I need to be able to be mobile.

My goals are to find employment, preferably doing custodial work. It is difficult for me to find a job right now with little to no funds for transportation, and no funds for a proper cane, knee and back brace.

I need some funding so that I can purchase a cane, knee, and back brace so that I can get around and try to find a job.

Meeting this need will help me because I would be able to secure a stable job where I can find financial stability.

I am currently his Probation Officer. I have seen him struggle trying to get his social security benefits back on for months. For the past few months he has no money coming in, and does not even have money for a metro card to report to me sometimes. Eric is a veteran who has suffered from several injuries, resulting in multiple surgeries, and is struggling to pay his bills and find employment. He could benefit from funds so he can purchase a cane, back brace and knee brace so that he can be mobile enough to try to look for and maintain employment. It would be great to see him receive this help.
