I'm ready to help expand my family farm. With funds to lease land we can do it!

My husband and I work a farm together & just get by. Now that I'm healthy, we can expand with funds for land and seeds.

I am so grateful, grateful to you for helping. My husband and my children we can live better now with a better farming yield. Thanks for you we will have more land and better future.

Overview

I am a 38 year old mother of 10 and a fistula survivor. My husband and I have a farm to feed our family, and if the yield is good we have a little left over to sell. We use this money to buy clothing and pay for our children's school fees.

My goals are to expand my our farm business so we can harvest more crops to sell at the market. Right now we don't have the space to grow new crops, and what we do grow only covers our family's needs, and only sometimes. Now that I have had surgery to fix my fistula, I am healthy enough to grow our farm.

I need $250 to lease a plot of land for farming. I will also buy maize seeds as corn grows very well here and it gets a good price at the market.

Meeting this need will help me because I have 10 children and I want to give them a good life. When we can grow and harvest more, we can sell more at the market and pay for the children to go to school.

Rovino is a force of nature. She is raising 10 children along with her husband, and for the last several years has had a fistula from an obstructed childbirth. Despite this, she worked on their farm, growing food to feed her family. Now Rovino is healed from her fistula and has graduated from the farm skills program. She is tenacious and we will continue to support her as she finds new land to expand her farm and provide for her family.
