Overview

I am a 40 year old mother of five. In 2013 I had a very difficult childbirth and was left with pain and other problems, and my husband left me. I learned I had a fistula and it took three surgeries but now I am healed.

My goals are to start a business reselling used clothing. I want to earn income to support my five children now that I am a single mother. I want to pay for their school fees.

I need $200 to purchase an initial stock of clothes. I will modify them with my seamstress skills and sell them in my community.

Meeting this need will help me because I am leading my family alone and need a reliable source of income. I want to be able to feed my children and afford to send them to school so they have a bright future.

Helen went through Beyond Fistula's business training seminar after she recovered from fistula. Her fistula took three surgeries to repair and she was so strong through the whole grueling, long process. She is very determined to set up a small business reselling clothes to support her five children. I have faith in her strength and know she will do what it takes to provide for her children.
