Overview
I am a 19 year old male. I recently had the opportunity to work in a neighborhood garden and food pantry. During my involvement I learned many important things regarding agriculture. I also have come to respect the process it takes to grow healthy food and the substantial importance of healthy eating. I would very much like to take a course in agriculture to help communities learn how to grow and tend their gardens to provide food for all.
My goals are to major in the agricultural field and one day open up several neighborhood gardens for the communities around me. A future goal of mine also includes owning my own farm fully equipped with all the tools and animals needed to raise a fruitful farm.
I need to obtain a laptop to attend college and major in the field of agriculture. I would also take a course in engineering.
Meeting this need will help me because my plan to spearhead community gardens/farming within the inner cities would greatly assist families to obtain food which they not only helped to grow but give them a new found respect for the farmers of our country and all the hard work that goes into farming and gardening.

I have known Willie for about a year. This young man is far more mature than others much older. Willie currently lives with a family which is not his own. He made this decision to avoid getting into trouble in the neighborhood where he lived. Willie has proven to be a stand-up young man who has always shown nothing but respect for those around him. He is always willing to help others and since working with the food pantry and garden Willie seems to be on a mission to feed the needy. If his need is met I believe that he will help do just that.
