Overview
I am a single father of five children. I am unable to work due to an on-the-job injury I received which resulted in back and knee problems. I care for my son who is 17 years old who received a heart transplant in 2014 and my youngest daughter, 12, is diagnosed with diabetes. I was receiving SSI, but it was discontinued. I am waiting to file an appeal. The only income we have is SSI/Death benefits from their mother. I currently am unable to work and I am focused on the well-being of my children.
My goal is to raise my children and provide a stable environment. Due to the loss of their mother I want to continue to build a strong family relationship with my children. We have no family support and all we have is each other. I am committed to caring for my children to support and enable them to live a productive life.
My family is in need of living room furniture were we can come together as a family to interact with each other, commune about any problems or daily challenges due to the severe loss they have endured. It will give us a comfortable place where we can strengthen our relationship as a family together.
Meeting this need will alleviate the stress of trying to provide this family need with the limited income that I receive to provide for my children's daily needs and shelter.
