Overview
I need beds for my children. This includes two sets of bunk beds and two twin beds. Meeting this need will help me because it will provide my children with a place to sleep so they can rest well at night in preparation for a full day of school the next day.
My goal is to make my house safe and comfortable for my family. These beds will further my quest to make my house a home where my children feel safe and are comfortable. New beds will help ease our transition into our new setting and provide hope for better things to come!
My current situation is I'm a single mother of seven children, 2 of whom have mental health impairments. I've just moved into a new home after being in one that was unsafe and rented from a slumlord.
I'm from Detroit. I have two boys and five girls ages 16 to 4 years old. My 16 year-old is autistic but all of my children are in school and love it! I'm happiest when my children are happy.
Something interesting about me is that I work well with others and I'm most proud of being involved with Black Family Development, Inc.

I met Amber in July 2013 when she was referred for program service at Black Family Development, Inc. I think meeting this need is important because it will assist with her family becoming stable and decrease risk for the children's productivity levels at school and in society.
