Alejandra from East SF Bay, CA

I am a student, volunteer, working part-time, & will need a tablet computer to succeed in University

I am a first generation college student, and have been accepted to UC Berkeley. Transferring from Community College is just my first goal.

I need a tablet designed for reading, that will help me with all my reading that will be assigned at UC Berkeley.

Meeting this need will help me because there will be a lot of assigned reading at school, and the tablet will help me a lot, it also has a dictionary.

I am the first in my family to attend college, and I will soon be transferring from a Community College to UC Berkeley. I am currently working part time in a seasonal job.

My goal is to succeed in college and obtain good grades. The tablet will help me with the transition from a community college to a four year university.

I would like to thank the donors in advance for their donations and their time. These donations will be of great help for my success at UC Berkeley.

I'm from Los Angeles, California, and I live in Pittsburg, California. Something interesting about me is that I love to help others! I'm happiest when I work with youth and the community as a whole. I'm most proud of my admission to UC Berkeley.

We met when Alejandra began to volunteer with us. I think meeting this need is important because Alejandra has worked very hard to be admitted into UC Berkeley. Now she needs a little extra help to buy the table to help her study and do homework.

While Alejandra was going to a community college and working part time to pay for school she still makes time to volunteer in our Go Get It youth program, where she is a mentor and helps students with their homework. The program also encourages kids to peruse higher education, Alejandra is a role model; she is doing this herself.
