I would like to thank Benevolent for helping me with my needs. I didn't think it was going to go through, so when I got the email from Benevolent I was so excited to see that my needs were met! I would like to thank all the people who, out of the kindness of their hearts, donated their time to view my post and money to help me purchase beds for my children. May God bless you!
Overview
I'm from Detroit, Michigan.
I have two children: A daughter and son, ages 15 and 18. I have been through so many tragic obstacles in my life. I lost my mom at an early age (13) and lost two children - one to a homicide and the other due to a terminal illness. Living through these events has made me a very strong mother and person in general.
I'm most proud of when I do things for people out of the kindness of my heart. I am a loving, honest, and hard-working person and I'm happiest when I see smiles on my children's faces.
As of now I am struggling. I had to start over after bedbugs recently, which caused me to move into a new home. I had to throw away a lot of furniture and leave a lot behind so I am working on limited household goods.
My goal is to get back on my feet and back to where I was when I did have the proper things for me and my family. I really care about making sure my kids are happy and comfortable.
I need beds for my children. This also includes sheets, comforters and pillows. Meeting this need will help me because my children would be able to rest better after being removed suddenly from our old home.
Getting things back to normal would really help my children adjust to their new setting. Beds would be a huge step in helping me accomplish this.

Learn more »I met Lovell a few months ago when she were place on my case load. Lovell is very dedicated in making her children to be successful in school. She recently move from her home of 10 years and she lost everything. Lovell and her family is in need of beds and kitchen utensils.
I think meeting this need is important because her children would have a good night rest to function in school and it will also allow them to eat a nutrient meal daily.
