Overview

My goal is to provide a sense of stability and comfort to my children. Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to get a good nights rest and function in the morning to ensure my daughter gets to school and I can provide for her. I want to be a full participant in my daughter's life but some nights are tough when sleeping on the floor. Being able to get up in the morning, function and get her ready for school on a consistent basis would be really beneficial to her and me. 

Sleeping and sitting on the floor is very difficult for me so having furniture where I don't have to bend all the way down to access the floor would be great.

I am visually impaired so I have had a hard time finding work.  My limited income has allowed me to build my life and home, but bedbugs really set me back. I had to throw out everything I owned that I could not wash. My limited income makes it difficult for me to purchase new furniture at this time and saving funds will take a long time.

I'm from Detroit and am a proud parent of two children. I am most happiest when I am around family and friends, and keeping busy.  

I most proud of graduating from high school and was student of the year in my class.

We met when we both attended a backyard party given by a friend who is also blind. Since that time, whenever I go to an affair, within the network of individuals who are visually impaired, Angela is there. She is very active in the community and focused on issues that affect individuals with disabilities.

I think meeting this need is important because everyone is deserving of a good nights rest in order to function properly in daily life. So, a new Bed set and sofa is desired.Angela was forced to dispose of all her furniture and for a better quality life these items must be replaced.

Angela is a single mom, raising her 10 year old daughter. God has his way of gifting us in other areas, when we are without sight, hearing or mobility; but it's more difficult when we don't have the basic necessities. Angela is a sweet, loving mom; doing very well raising her daughter. Let's jump this hurdle and help Angela meet her goal.
