Thanks to BENEVOLENT, WOW just delivered a new laptop with Photoshop to Jenkins, a graphics design student with special needs.  Praise God! He and his mom are overjoyed and grateful.    ~ Lisa - Validator

Overview

I was born in Battle Creek, Michigan but now live with my mother in Detroit. I am happiest when I am with my family and enjoy taking pictures. I am most proud of the achievements I have made so far in life and am about to apply to the National Guard.

I need a laptop and software to help me complete graphic design courses in college. My goal is to eventually work for the National Guard. I know computer science is a good skill to have in getting a job with the National Guard which is why a computer will help me accomplish this goal.

This Spring I will receive my GED. After that I plan on going to college for photography and graphic design. I will need a laptop to complete assignments especially if some of my classes are online.

Meeting this need will help me when it is time to enroll for classes, complete assignments and prepare for the National Guard exam.

We met when Jenkins' mom Beverly invited me over to have dinner with a mutual friend. Beverly volunteers for Warriors on Wheels of Metropolitan Detroit, on a regular basis. I found Jenkins to be a very polite, mannerable child, with a very bright future. I think meeting this need is important because Jenkins' mom works very hard to provide for her family; so purchasing a laptop would be a stretch. Jenkins aspires to be a graphic designer and needs a laptop in his possession in order to develop his craft. It's very difficult for his mom to take him to the library on a regular basis with 2 other small children at home. So a laptop, with the desired programs, will allow this child to fulfill his dream. This family is a very loving family. The younger children look up to their older brother, Jonathan. So meeting this need will instill confidence that will inspire everyone. Let's help Jenkins expand his horizon.
