Thank you from Anthony Feb 26, 2014

Anthony has sent this letter of gratitude:

Words are not enough to express how extremely grateful, humbled and happy I am at this moment! When I posted my profile, I wasn't sure if my need would be met or not, as I was just simply thankful that my Validator and Benevolent were willing put forth the effort to assist me. Now that this need has been met, I am confident that I will be able to advance in my career and training going forward.

This just reassures my faith in humanity and that there are some truly beautiful people and wonderful organizations in the world that will lend their resources, time and attention to those who might be a little less fortunate and for that I sincerely give thanks.

A special thank you to ALL OF THE 18 DONORS that helped me achieve my goal and a SUPER SPECIAL THANK YOU to the donors who contacted me with such hope, motivation and well wishes to me and my journey. You all are so loved and blessed. Keep up the great works and deeds you mighty humanitarians!

Many, Many Blessings.

Sincerely,

Anthony

Overview

I need a multimeter and a drill set to get the basic job of solar installations done, this includes a Fluke 357 multimeter and a Dewalt 20 Volt Drill set.

My goal is to get the tools that I need to effectively do the job that I am currently training for. I don't really see how I might be able to get them on my own, so I am hopeful that I might receive a little help.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to help myself so that I may be able to live a quality life and advance my skills and education. In return I may be able to help others in a similar position.

My current situation is I am currently working, but not a living wage and not a career job. Unfortunately I am not making enough to provide for the things I need to get my career and personal goals accomplished, but I am hopeful that my situation will change soon.

I am very passionate about the Solar industry and I have been for some time now. I want to make a difference in my life, my family and the world. I believe I can accomplish this with faith, persistence and perseverance.

I'm from Atlanta. I moved to Berkeley two years ago to start a new life here in California and I love it here! I live with my Uncle and Cousin but I plan on getting my own place soon.

Something interesting about me is that I am a bit of a nerd and love science and technology. I'm happiest when I am with loved ones, including family and those who I consider family. I'm most proud of my niece. She is the first one in our immediate family to go to a University and after her first semester she is doing great!

I have no children but plan on having a family when everything is right with my career. I am very grateful of all my experiences, good and bad, and ready for more good now!!!

We met when Anthony started our second Training Cohort a year ago. I have been working with Anthony with obtaining gainful employment. He is a familiar face in my office and has always been very respectful.

I think meeting this need is important because it will allow him to start his career as a Solar Installer. He has completed energy efficiency training and volunteered for the last three months to get the skills necessary for employment. This will give Anthony the opportunity to make change in his life that was beyond his reach.

Anthony is graduating the program with highest honors and took on the challenge of tutoring other classmate about energy efficiency measures. He has maintained a level head throughout the course of his three month unpaid internship, believing there was a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I am very proud of the great work Anthony has done and the progress he has made overcoming obstacles in his life.
