Overview

I am looking for a job and living as a COTS resident. I would like to go back to school so that I can get a degree in sociology and work with youth. I really enjoy helping others come up with ways to live a better life. And yes, I just so happen to find myself in a place that I would have never thought I would end up but I am here and I will make the best of it.

My goal is to find a job and go back to school. I want to help disadvantaged youth and study the effects social influences have on people. Eventually I would love to own a home.

A bed and dresser will help establish my new home and provide comfort as I continue to search for employment to better provide for myself.

Meeting this need will help me because it would be a great start in getting my life back on track so that when I do get a job the list of things I need will be much lower and I can take the money from my job and use it to pay for school, instead of furniture.

I met Ivory months ago as he was transitioning to his new apartment. I think meeting this need is important because he is in the process of building his life. Ivory has youth and determination on his side. He lost everything but is really striving to reach his goal of going back to school and getting a job working with youth. This will give him the experience he needs when he does go back to school and re-enters the workforce with a degree.
