Overview
I am a 56-year-old mother, who currently work in a janitorial job that I really enjoy. Before this, I completed job training with The Cara Program and an intensive recovery program.
My goals are to stabilize my life. I went through treatment, got a job, and just recently got my own apartment. I am celebrating my new life, and in order to continue moving forward I need some help with my home. From here, I plan to build better relationships with my family, right my wrongs, and save money for my future.
I need a bed as I am currently sleeping on an air mattress which isn't comfortable for my back at my age. I also need some items for my kitchenette in my studio and living room.
Meeting this need will help me because I have savings for a rainy day fund, but I don't want to empty out my savings account if I could find some help from generous and thoughtful members of my community who understand my situation.

I met Mary when she came to The Cara Program in January of 2013. I have watched her set goals and accomplish them despite major personal setbacks that she experienced in her time here. She has now maintained sobriety over a year and a half and is committed to continuing on her path to greatness. I do believe that a good bed contributes to the quality of work at a job.
