Tyrone & his children are settled in their new home! Sep 17, 2014
Satira from Black Family Development sent us this great update & thank you message from Tyrone.
She says, "We want to thank you all for your support and commitment to helping families in need. Tyrone's family is doing well and settled in their new home. His wife is now employed full-time and the children are doing extremely well. Tyrone was able to purchase beds for the children; however, their refrigerator and stove stopped working. Funds raised by the Benevolent supporters helped to purchase a stove and a refrigerator for the family as well. Tyrone and his family would like for you all to know that you are appreciated and they thank you for your giving hearts. They are happy to know that there are people who actually care about others in need."
Overview
I am a 42 year old father of six and have been married for 11 years. I am not employed due to my disabilities but have worked hard to stabilize my home for my family. It has, however, been hard with my limited income.
My goals are to ensure my family has a safe and comfortable home environment. I want my family to be able to sleep comfortably and to have a complete home with all their basic needs met.
I need 2 toddler beds and three twin beds.
Meeting this need will help me because my children are at risk of being removed from the home due to the them not having appropriate sleeping arrangements. It's important that I keep my family together and beds will allow me to do this.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Tyrone fund this need.

I have been working with Tyrone and family since April 4, 2014. The family home was infested with carpet mites and all furniture and appliances had to be thrown out. The family has limited income through disability funds and is at risk of losing their children because of the lack of beds in the household. Helping this family with beds will keep them together and avoid other obstacles that present themselves when children are removed from the home.
