Overview

I am a 34 year old father that has been unemployed for four years. Since being terminated due to a miscommunication at work, finding work in the manufacturing field has been very difficult. I am currently a student at the Jane Addams Resource Corporation to learn machine operating and to find employment.

My goal is to find stable work in a manufacturing company that has room for growth. I hope to become a quality control inspector eventually although I know that path can take some time.

I need steel toed boots, a metrology kit, and some basic work clothes to get started once I find employment.

Meeting this need will help me because many manufacturing companies will not even let you interview without steel toed boots. I want to be able to support my family and having the necessary tools will make finding a job that much easier.

I work with Josh in our CNC Fast Track Program. As the coordinator, I have regular check ins with all of our program participants. I have been working with Josh for about four months. He has been an extremely diligent student and in the four months he has been here, has already gained two industry credentials, has near perfect attendance and displays a high level of professionalism. I am sure that he will find work soon through our program and having the work equipment will make it that much easier for him to gain employment.
