Overview
I am a 34-year-old divorced mother of four; 3 sons ages 15, 13, 11 and a 2 year old daughter. I recently lost my job as a Manager at a local restaurant chain after 9 ½ years of employment. I have decided to turn this situation into an opportunity for advancement by returning back to school and obtaining my degree. I attended college years ago when I was a married, stay-at-home mom. Unfortunately, I had to drop out of school and enter the workforce after my divorce. I am excited about starting this new phase in my life! I am currently working with a Financial Coach and Income Supports Coordinator to assist me with budgeting, credit repair, goal planning, employment, and resource referrals. I feel it is important to show my children that I can bounce back from a setback!
My goals are to complete the credits needed to obtain my Associates Degree in Business Administration and obtain part-time employment while attending school. After that, I'd like to earn a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and becoming an entrepreneur/small business owner.
I need assistance with vehicle repairs. After recently losing my only source of income for the last 9 1/2 years, I have enrolled back into college. I need reliable transportation to make this transition successful and gain employment.
Meeting this need will help me because I will have safe and reliable transportation. My boys will be able to continue their active lifestyle in extracurricular activities, while I will be able to job search and attend my college classes, in addition to attending any required appointments. This will allow me to continue meeting the needs of my children and supporting my family.

I have known Mandy for a number of years. After losing her employment she contacted me to assist her in figuring out what her next steps should be. I worked with Mandy on developing her goals, action steps to reach her goals and completed her FAFSA application. She has successfully enrolled in summer classes at the local community college and has a few credits to complete to obtain her associate's degree. Mandy has always displayed a hard work ethic. It would be great to see her receive this assistance.
