Overview

I am a 49 year old single mother of two wonderful children; a 15 year old girl and 4 year old boy. I volunteered for 8 years for the Chicago Public School and was hired 3 years ago as a lunchroom/recess monitor.

My goal is to see that my daughter gets off to a good start her freshman year. She was accepted at an area Charter School. She would like to attend a Performing Arts school after her sophomore year.

My daughter and I need help with her school fees, school uniforms and a monthly bus card. This will reduce the anxiety of her being a freshman and allow her to fit in with the other freshman.

My daughter will be able to start the school year off with things she need to have a successful school year.

Ms. Jones previously lived at the Primocenter Interim Housing for 2yrs. During that times she volunteered at the public school her daughter attended. She recently was employed full-time and she's been housed March 20014. Ms. Jones has always been motivated to succeed and now that she's stable, she's focusing on helping her daughter transition to high school. It would be great to see Ms. Jones get the support her daughter's needs.
