I have a brand new laptop, and can't say thank you enough!! Oct 30, 2014
I started school in September of this year. I have asked for very little help from anyone in fulfilling my needs. I was so surprised to get a call from Disability Network telling me I'm able to get my laptop. I feel like it's Christmas. I want to say thank you to everyone involved in assisting me. I will not let you or myself down. I will work hard and remember to pay it forward when I can.
Overview
I am a young teen who just graduated Martin Luther King High school. I will be attending Wayne State University to further my education and better myself.
My goals are to become a doctor. I have wanted to be a doctor since I was a small boy and lost a family member to cancer. I always felt there if there was more research being done or more treatment options we could have prevented her death. Since then my focus has been to become a doctor and to be able to help as many people as I can.
I need help with a laptop for school. A laptop would help me with online homework for classes as well as some tests.
Meeting this need will help me because it will aid me in my journey to become a doctor. Having a laptop will not limit my time of getting internet access like the school library will. I will also be able to take additional online classes.

Mr. Green came into the agency looking for resources for back to school assistance for low income individuals. He is working to keep a roof over his head at this time. He could really excel if given the opportunity to further his education with the correct tools.
