Overview

I am an 18 year-old who is starting college in the next month. I am the first in my family to go to college, but I hope that my two younger sisters will follow.

My goals are to become a veterinarian, with a specialization in big cats. I'm moving away to college in Tennessee as a first generation college student. One of my biggest goals is honestly just to make my mom proud. One day I hope to take care of animals and have a family of my own.

I need money to cover basic supplies for my dorm room like sheets, a pillow, a towel, laundry detergent, toiletries, and school supplies.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to attend college. I have been reaching out to friends and family members in my community to help me with these needs but am still coming up a bit short. Anything that you could give would be a huge help. I don't want to let some sheets stand in my way of going to college!

I have had the pleasure of supporting Adonis and his family over the past few months. There were many weeks when Adonis did not believe he was going to graduate high school on time, let alone get into his dream school and pursue a career as a big cat vet. Adonis is a young man that breaks down barriers and chases his dreams despite the fact that the world has stacked the odds against him. It would mean the world to him and to me to see some money come in to support him with these basic supplies so that he can have what he needs to start college comfortably.
