Sarah has an update: "I received my furniture!" Mar 26, 2015
I'm really grateful for the furniture that I got. I was able to purchase a sofa/bed with an ottoman and a bar table with two chairs. I would really like to thank you for the help because I now have furniture for me and my children.
Overview
I'm a 26-year-old single mother of 3 children. I have not been working due to my disability. I was homeless for almost three years but I recently found stable housing.
My goals are going back to school so I can finish my GED and then enroll in college to pursue a culinary arts degree.
I need a sofa/bed, a dresser and a dining room set to furnish my first home in three years.
Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to feel more comfortable in my own home, and because I cannot afford to buy furniture due to my fixed income. My children will also be able to enjoy living in a home with me and having that stability.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Sarah fund this need.

I have been working with Sarah since June 2013 when her daughter's therapist referred her to me. I worked with Sarah mainly on housing goals but we also worked on clothing, food and medical resources for her and her family. Sarah and I had a hard time finding stable housing that she could afford but after almost three years of being homeless, she finally found a stable home! Sarah would greatly benefit from receiving assistance with furniture so she and her children can finally enjoy having a safe and stable home.
Sarah is such a joy to work with and I continue to be amazed by her positivity and resilience.
