Larry's home is finally furnished after your generous support! Larry and his Case Manager went shopping and got a futon among many other items for his home. He is so grateful for your help in making his house a home just in time for the holidays. Best to you all!

Overview

My name is Larry and I've been a participant at North Side Housing for four years. I'm a U.S. Navy veteran and I recently started training for a job at the Hines VA. I've recently moved to an unfurnished studio in senior housing.

My goals are to find a full-time, permanent job in the food service or medical field with my food sanitation licenses. I also aim to maintain my housing and volunteer with youth, veterans, and the elderly.

I moved into my new apartment on August 1st and have no furniture to my name. I need a full-sized bed, dresser, microwave oven, and household items.

Meeting this need will help me because it would help me sleep at night so I can go to work on time. I currently experience hip pains from sleeping on the floor and this affects my sleep and job performance.
