Overview

I am 51 and work part-time due to my lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. I'm currently going to school in order to obtain my GED and taking care of my 8-year-old granddaughter. I'm also caring for my 78-year-old mother.

My goals are to get my GED and be able to take care of my family. Also, I want to find a job where I'll be able to work full-time despite my health issues.

I need furniture for our new home because we have to move by the second week of November.

Meeting this need will help me because I won't have to worry about where the money is going to come from for beds and furniture for my family.

Arlean is a client of mine that I have been working with to help her obtain her GED. She has remained in touch with me monthly and keeps me updated on her current progress with school and work. I know meeting this need will help her to provide more for her household by being able to take on more responsibility and also by providing furniture for herself, her granddaughter and her mother when they move. Also, it will be a step in helping her to achieve stability in her life and take a lot of stress and worry away from her.
