Overview

I am a 55 year old woman who is unemployed with no income coming in. My children have children of their own so they can not afford to help me. I have gone to many agencies to get help for employment and also on my own for work.

My goals are to find work so that I can support myself and won't have to rely on my children for help. Also, it would be nice if I can go back to school for accounting since it is a dream I have and a change of careers.

I need glasses so that I am able to see. I can't afford to buy them on my own because I am almost homeless and stay at my daughter's house. It has been difficult looking for jobs without having glasses since it is hard to see the computer screen or read directions.

Meeting this need will help me because I want to be able to read books, read my Bible and to also fill out applications better. Anything would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have known Sasha while working at the Pima County One Stop. She has been coming to the One Stop to use our resources to find employment and to use our supportive services to help in that need. She is currently in need of a new pair of prescription glasses which she is unable to afford on her own. Meeting this need is important to Sasha because she is having extreme difficulty reading. With glasses, it will allow her job search to go smoother and be one less barrier to stop her.
