Madeline from Chicago, IL

I need steel-toed boots & glasses to jump-start my career in manufacturing.

I want to transition into manufacturing because it's reliably full-time & offers opportunities to grow. I need this gear to work & be safe on the job.

Overview

I am currently a trainee in the Careers Manufacturing Program at Jane Addams Resource Corporation. I am seeking assistance with jump starting my career in the Manufacturing Industry. I have been working in retail for the past 20 years. The retail industry has been up and down. I want to transition into a career that is reliably full time, offers benefits and the opportunity to grow. I have always been interested in design and product development. CNC will be a great career for me because I will be able to use my creative skills to design products and my CNC skills to fabricate what I have designed.

My goals are to secure a full-time position with benefits, to have a place of my own, and to pay off my debt. I hope to incorporate all of my educational background, work experiences and training to work as a CNC Machinist. I want to eventually become a design engineer or product developer.

I need steel-toed boots, a metrology kit, and eye glasses.

Meeting this need will help me because I am changing careers and these items are needed for my safety, and my ability to perform the work.

I have known Madeline since February. She has been an excellent trainee in the CNC Training Program. Madeline brings a unique perspective to the program, because she is especially interested in the design of products. She is now very close to CNC employment, and your assistance will help her to make a successful transition into the manufacturing industry.
