Overview

I am an unconditional, loving individual who has a wonderful, positive and radiant spirit. In 2013, I faced a stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis, which today at 33 years, I can proudly say I've overcome. My fight against such horrible disease caused many losses such as homelessness, an experience I least expected.

As of today I am constantly working to move on from such experience. I am working again and have recently regained housing. My goals are to continue to fight to remain free of cancer, regain things that are needed to maintain life, be a helping hand to others affected by cancer, and most importantly live.

I am in need of funding that would allow me to get household furniture, cooking supplies, linens, home decorations, eating utensils, cleaning agents, bedding, and organizers.

Meeting this need will make it more comfortable for me to enjoy my new residence. The fulfilment of this need will more importantly give me comfort to manage and cope with the many side effects that came due to receiving treatment to conquer the disease.

Unique's story is an inspiring one! Conquering breast cancer left her without a job and homeless. I met her recently when she came to our office to reengage in services. On her own she had already returned to work and signed a lease on an affordable market rate apartment. Making the rent means she has been without the essentials to make her space a home. The state's stand is still impacting social service budgets right now, so we just did not have the funds to help her furnish her apartment. She really needs a small bedroom set with comfortable mattress and linens to lay her head after her 35 hour work week.
