Overview

I am a single mother of two and I am overcoming obstacles and trying to get back in the workforce.

My goals are to enter school and validate my CASAC. I would like to work with people that have mental disabilities and drug addiction.

I need several items to begin furnishing my apartment. I need a winter coat and boots along with school and business attire. I also would need a PC to do homework.

Meeting this need will help me because It will help me reach my goals of rising above poverty and not depend on those who don't want to help. I am so excited to have my own apartment that I want to obtain employment to maintain my place.

I have known Nicole for approximately a year. I have seen Nicole go through several obstacles and grow from them. She is a Domestic Abuse survivor. She has finally left the shelter system and obtained her own apartment and independence. She recently obtained her therapy dog and got her self-esteem back. Nicole is now looking forward to maxing out her Probation Term and becoming a productive citizen while giving back to the community. She has always been honest with me. I would like to see her get help with furnishing her home and get winter clothes.
